Galaxies and Nebulae
What are galaxies and nebulae? Galaxies and nebulae are best friends, galaxies consist of tens of nebulae all working to produce more stars to populate the galaxy, and stars make planetary nebulae which form planets, asteroids, and comets. Galaxies are large gravitational structures held together by dark matter, nebulae, and the supermassive black hole at the center.
What do the nebulae do? Nebulae are sometimes called stellar nursery’s, because of they’re ability to make stars, the nebulae don’t actually do much its more of the job of the gas to come together to form stars, nebulae are usually formed of clumps of gases mostly hydrogen and helium, and dust, as the clumps get bigger they attract more dust and gas and gravity pushes them together to the point that when the clump gets big enough it compresses itself to a point where it commences fusion and turns into a star pushing all the dust and gas away which stops it getting bigger than it is
What are galaxies? Galaxies are collections of gas, stars, and other “spatial” phenomena. The closest galaxy to the Milky Way is the Andromeda galaxy, one day the Milky way and the Andromeda galaxy will crash into each other, this new merged galaxy is called Milkdromeda, we may never travel to another galaxy but if humanity survives to when the Andromeda galaxy crashes into the Milky way we might see the new Milkdromeda galaxy and all that it entails. Galaxies are also millions of light years apart and flying apart from each other faster and faster, because of the expansion of the universe. Galaxies are apart of even larger structures called Superclusters, which are billions of light years across.
