Black Holes + Stars = Black Hole Stars
Now onto something so crazy and insane that we do not know if it ever existed but we’ve observed things that would strongly suggest that they do, black hole STARS (aka Quasi-Stars)
. You might be thinking, “that’s not possible though becau- “and to you I say shut up because I have not explained anything yet so sit down and listen up. Black hole stars could only exist in the first few hundred million years, back when the universe was much denser and hotter compared to now where everything is far apart. Black hole stars were larger than any star that could exist today, they take the weirdness of black holes and changes the way we think about how stars form, black hole stars only exist because of the balance between the star and its core, when a star is formed the core starts the fusion process which balances against the gravity trying to crush it. For black hole stars this balance is broken because rather than being born and pushing all the gas and matter that formed it, it’s immense gravity from it being larger than our solar system pulls all this detritus in which compacts onto the star making it heavier and heavier until the balance breaks and the core is crushed, but the core doesn’t disappear instead it changes from being the core of a star to being a black hole, the core of the star is about as massive as BC Cygni which is one of the largest stars ever observed.
Why do black hole stars not just destroy themselves? The fragile balance between radiation pressure and gravity still exists, its just between a black hole and the outer layer of a star, rather than the core of a star and its core, this balance isn’t perfect though because the black hole still has immense gravitational pressure which instead of the black hole slowly eating away its accretion disk, it pulls in massive amounts of star matter and grows exponentially bigger than most stellar black holes, the star on the outside doesn’t look any different because the black hole is getting bigger as its eating. After a certain point in its life the balance starts to crumble, and the stars equator expands to thirty times the size of the solar system and it starts to turn into a large doughnut shaped accretion disk with matter being spewed out of the poles because of the magnetic field of the black hole. This would have been one of the most awe-inspiring sights to see in the early universe. Imagine a large red sun the size of the solar system spinning at a sizable portion of the speed of light five times larger than the largest star we have ever observed and millions of times the weight of our sun with a secret parasite slowly eating away at it.
This may be how the Supermassive black holes at the centre's of galaxy’s were created
